Regional Concert Series

“Repeat performances are how we develop our craft.”

NZ Trio

“It was invigorating playing in different, small centres nationally and receiving a great response from the audiences including our outreach concert.”

Wilma & Friends

Through our Regional Series CMNZ promotes New Zealand musicians in almost every corner of Aotearoa. Through our collaboration with a huge network of other presenters around the country, mostly volunteer music societies, we are able to share music with communities large and small.

These ensembles represent this country’s leading musicians, as well as emerging kiwi players looking to develop their craft. All are passionate about fostering our home-grown composers and will play at least nine NZ works, this year a third of these will be world premieres.

While on tour many of these ensembles will work with children, music students, visit retirement homes and engage with people who might not usually have access to the concert hall.

2019 includes Julien Van Mellaerts & James Baillieu, New Zealand String Quartet, Duo Col Legno, The Donizetti Trio, 2019 Adam Troubadours, The Morton Trio, Tony Chen Lin, The Jacquin Trio (ROSL) on tour.
