The Tūī and the Kahikatea

A concert for our times, preeminent Aotearoa musicians Peter Scholes, Simeon Broom, James Tennant and Katherine Austin collaborate with poet Faumuina Felolini Maria Tafuna’i to draw lines between Olivier Messiaen’s extraordinary Quartet for the End of Time, composed and premiered in a Nazi detainment camp in 1941, and the urgent threat of climate change on Pacific Islands.
